I just wanted to let you know that our Engagement Party at the Gin Mill turned out amazing. The food was so good and the bar service was stellar. Gibson our bartender was very accommodating and served a killer Tom Collins. I was a little worried since I had never been to the venue and was going only on web reviews then when we got there, saw the place and met the staff the evening of the event I realized that I had made a great choice. My expectations were exceeded and I would definitely recommend and use this service in the future.

Surprise Engagement Party at The Speakeasy

The event went very smoothly and it was a huge hit for my now fiance. She was absolutely thrilled, shocked, and amazed at the same time. Everything was setup as requested and my party helpers had no issues. When I received text messages from them saying that “we are all set” – it was a huge sigh of relief given that this was a surprise engagement party – obviously timing and setup was crucial. 

Also, thank you for being so accommodating with my fiance’s brother (under 21) – when she saw him, she literally mauled him and was jumping for joy.

I will definitely consider your services for my future parties.

Baby shower at The Speakeasy

Dear Brittany and Niki and team, 

We had our shower yesterday in the Speakeasy Room at the Gin Mill and it went really well! Rich was great as our party manager and bartender, the food guy and security guy (whose names we did not catch) were also great. Everything ran very smoothly and we got complimented on the quality of the food. All in all, it was a lovely event and we wanted to say thanks – to Rich especially, and also to your organization.

Cancer Fundraiser at The Speakeasy

Hi Niki,

Just wanted to thank you for all of your help in organizing our Cancer Crusher Fundraiser last Saturday. 

Everything was flawless! The bartender Rich was super helpful and attentive the whole time, as was the bouncer and the barback. 

The space itself couldn’t have been better for our event- everyone had a blast and most importantly we were able to raise money for a great cause!

25th Birthday Party at The Speakeasy

Hi there! 

The party was great! The Gin Mill was the perfect location and the room was just what we were hoping for. Everyone had a great time. The staff at the Gin Mill were so friendly and helpful. 

All of you at Eat, Drink, & Be Merry have been so wonderful. Planning a party can be stressful, but booking through EDBM was easy and hassle-free. From the moment I called, through the night of the party, you all have been great. You were helpful, timely about everything and answered all of my questions. I appreciate you all checking in throughout the process and keeping me updated on the status of each step. 

I also loved how easy it was to find our room once we got to the bar! The signs made it so easy for people who had never been to the bar before. I think it also made the birthday boys feel special. The one thing I noticed was that Wes’s name was spelled wrong (“Wess” instead of “Wes”), but that’s partly my fault since I didn’t notice that spelling error on the contract. It in no way affected the awesomeness of the party. 

Booking through EDBM has been such a great experience. My friend, Jessica Dalrymple, recommended you and I’m so happy I listened to her. You made my party-planning life much easier! I will definitely recommend you to other party bookers. I’m sure you’re already working on this, but it would be great if you could expand your partnership to other venues!

Bridal Shower at The Speakeasy

Hi Ladies,

The event was a success! The staff was great in helping us prep the room before the event, was there to check in with us during, and clean up afterwards. I heard a lot of compliments from the guests. They loved the decor in the Speakeasy Room, which went hand-in-hand with our vintage-themed bridal shower. I heard from some who had gone to the Gin Mill before that they had no idea this room existed. Overall, I give it a 5/5!

Bachelor Party at The Speakeasy

Hey, just wanted to get back to you and let you know everything went perfectly.  My brother’s bachelor party was a great success.  Everyone had a great time.  The staff went out of their way to make every thing perfect.  The food was great.  The entertainment was exactly what we were looking for.  The room at the Gin Mill was awesome.  We were very happy all around.

I want to thank you also for helping  me to plan this event.  You guys really made it easy for me and came to the table with a lot  of apparent experience because you guys really seemed to know what I wanted even before I did.

Joint 26th & 27th Birthday at The Speakeasy

I just wanted to thank you for an amazing birthday party. Not only did I enjoy myself, but the service including the bartenders and the security guard were amazing. Everyone was super pleasant and made the party so much better since they were all extremely friendly. You all have done an amazing job and I appreciate your kindness and your easy going nature when planning this event. Both Krista and I had a great time and will be doing events here in the future. Engagement Party at The Speakeasy

Hi Ladies,

So sorry for the delay! The party was a huge success, and everyone had a wonderful time. The bartenders did a great job, and the food just kept on coming. The music worked out perfectly, as we had an iPod stocked full that we just plugged in and were off. At the end of the night, settling the bill was easy, as the guys had done a great job letting me know how we were pacing throughout the night when it came to the minimum.

People were surprised by the space and thought it worked so well for a party. I would definitely have another event with you guys!

Surprise 24th Birthday Party at The Speakeasy

The party was definitely a success! Thank you for all your help, we all had a great time and Christine was definitely surprised. Working with you was a great decision and I will highly recommend your business to others.  I really liked how you worked with me in trying to find a suitable bar and waited until I could give you feedback on what my plans were (bar location, the amount of people attending etc) without any pressure at all. I valued how the overall process of booking the bar was quick, easy, and straightforward. I also really appreciated how you made my girlfriend complimentary, for her birthday, as well as her parents, who were not staying the entire time, at the open bar.  The surprise went very well, all of the bar employees were aware of the plan and knew exactly what to do. The bar itself had everything that was promised (liquor/beer selection, beer pong) as well. I would not have changed anything.

Surprise 30th Birthday at The Speakeasy

Hi there! The party was an absolute success! The birthday boy was quite surprised. The bartender Eric was very attentive from the minute I walked in. The finger foods were also quite the hit, especially the sliders which people were fighting over. Thank you so much for helping this go so smoothly and checking in with me in the weeks/days before the day of. I was left with no questions or concerns, other than making sure guests didn’t spill the beans!

Sorry for the delayed follow-up, but I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to you all for helping me set up a very successful and fun 30th Birthday Party at the Speakeasy at Gin Mill on July 6th! My friends had a really great time and complimented me on the place and the organization of the event.  The bartender was very sincere and helpful throughout the night, and the beer pong table was a definite hit!

I manage my family’s international investments company, and have had an extraordinary busy past few weeks, so I wasn’t even sure I’d be able to organize any sort of celebration.  You all made it extremely easy, and thank you very much for following up with me constantly when I didn’t respond to your inquiries right away (apologies for that!)

I will definitely consider using your services for future gatherings, and will recommend you to my friends.
