I recently threw a surprise party for my fiancé at Jake’s Dilemma with the help of the staff at EDBM. I am not that familiar with New York City bars, and found the staff at EDBM to be most helpful and efficient in providing me with ample information to make my bar selection for the party, as well as what type of party to host that would work best for our number of guests. I selected a main bar party at Jake’s and had everything confirmed with the staff at EDBM and Jake’s within 24 hours of contacting them. The process was extremely easy, and I had a great open bar deal for my guests. I enjoyed the fact that guests could pay at the door themselves and I would not have to go through the hassle of collecting money myself. My guests were extremely appreciative and excited as well. The night of the party we arrived at Jake’s and were given a warm welcome at the door. The bar was even better then our expectations, and it was pleasantly crowded without being too crammed. Our party settled in at a booth, and within minutes a waitress was there to take our drink orders. The waitress continued to bring our drinks and take orders throughout the entire night, even as the bar filled up. I can’t rave enough about how wonderful the service was at both EDBM and Jake’s. EDBM even contacted me within a week of the event to make sure that we enjoyed our time, and offered us a deal at another bar that they work with. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, and have already been spreading the word to everyone I know.Thank you very much, and I look forward to working with you again!Katie Larsen 

Thanks to the helpful and friendly staff at Eat, Drink, & Be Merry.  My friend’s surprise birthday party was fantastic. The Speakeasy Room at the Gin Mill was the perfect location for the event, and I only noticed it because of Niki. Also, the staff was understanding and willing to work within my financial constraints so I could still throw a great party for my special friend, but not break the bank. I was also impressed by the attentiveness of the staff at the Gin Mill. The bartender was sociable with the guests and the manager smoothly handled the set-up and clean-up, the presentation of the birthday cake, and our special photo slideshow. This is the first time where I planned a party, yet was still able to enjoy the party myself. Everyone had an incredible time, especially the birthday boy. Thank you!-Jonathan T.

The event went very well, thanks! Reggie, the coordinator was very helpful, and the bartender did a great job. No one had to wait a long time for drinks. The food was served as planned, and the room was a perfect size space. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

I just want to say thank you for all your hard work and assistance. The party went great. Couldn’t have been better. The whole event exceeded my expectations and the party coordinatoor that was present all night was great. He not only provided tips for my surprise party, but he also helped me with my party setup. All of my guest was impressed with the atmosphere and enjoyed the party very much. I would definitely recommend Eat, Drink & Be Merry to my friends and family.
