Surprise 50th Birthday Party in the Speakeasy Room

The party was great.  Heather was an excellent host and very attentive, as was the the entire staff.  We did have a party crasher, so it was actually a good thing that security is provided,as  we needed his help in getting her out of the room!  All of the guests have told me what a great time they had and complimented the food.

Post Wedding Party in The Speakeasy

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, with the wedding (and of course honeymoon), it has taken us some time to get around to all of our thank yous.

We were very pleased with all aspects of the party.   The venue was perfect, the food was good, and the drink was plentiful.   We received many compliments from our guests, and a good and memorable time was had by all.

However, the successful party wasn’t just the result of good food and a well-decorated space, it was the service that really made the difference.

The entire staff of Eat, Drink & Be Merry and the Gin Mill deserves some credit, however some people need to personally recognized.

First of all, Niki did an outstanding job organizing the event.  She accommodated our every request (and there were a lot of them) and she assisted us with every step of the planning.   She reviewed our food and drink orders and made sure that we were getting the best deal for our money.

Eric the bartender was on top of things all night.   Service at the bar was fast and friendly, and he even doubled as our “DJ” helping us out with the iPod and sound system.

And finally, Heather, our party planner, made sure everything came together.  She had the room set up exactly as we requested, was attentive throughout the night, and made sure everything went off without a hitch.  She really went the extra mile, literally.  At the end of the night she helped us carry our bags and other belongings back to the hotel room.

We were very pleased with the service provided by Eat, Drink & Be Merry and the party hosted by the Gin Mill (Speakeasy Room).  We would definitely recommend this service to a friend, and will keep them in mind for future parties.

Thank you for making our wedding after-party such a memorable event.

30th Birthday Party at The Speakeasy

Hello all!

Rian’s 30th birthday party was a complete success! The staff at The Speakeasy, especially Eric and Heather, were fantastic. Heather worked tirelessly to make sure the party ran smoothly and without a hiccup! I brought a DVD slideshow that wasn’t working on the TVs.  I was so disappointed because I spent so much time putting it together.  Heather, Eric and another staff member who was working upstairs at the Gin Mill worked with us until the problem was solved and the slideshow was running on at least one of the screens.  I was so happy because the slide show was a hit with everyone there!  I will definitely use your services again!

After Softball Party in The Speakeasy

Hello,

 I just realized I hadn’t responded to this email. We had a very, VERY, positive experience with the event that you put on for us at Gin Mill.  Everything ran smoothly, which began and ended with your staff.  The on site supervisor was extremely kind, willing to help and adapt to any request that we had. The Gin Mill staff, particularly the bartender, was very nice as well, interested in our well being and he seemed to really want us to have a good time.  I received numerous emails from co-workers saying how much fun they had.  I even got an email from a VP of another division at Fox, wishing to have her group involved in the next event.  I think the only minor discrepancy we had with the night was that some people wanted to pay just for the all you can drink, rather than the all you can drink and eat.  I know that this is almost impossible to police, but if there were some way to do so, I think it would be a big hit.  I think the greatest aspect of the night was being able to play our own music (which inevitably led to several sing along’s). I think this is even something that you may be inclined to market towards potential group outings.  I think it’s a very underrated bonus, I can’t think of many other venues where you are allowed to do this.  It’s surprising how much music can sometimes make or break a night.

 With all this being said, I’m in discussions with co-workers to have another event at the Gin Mill, this time with probably a larger group, hopefully needling towards 50 people.  Do you have availability in late June/July?  Please let me know when you get a chance.  Thanks!

Jessica and I would like to thank you and your team for planning such a great party.  We worked with you guys last year for a birthday party at Jake’s Dilemma — we had so much fun that we couldn’t wait to plan another party with you this year! Reunion in The Speakeasy

I’m so sorry I haven’t written yet, work has been mayhem since the week
started.  I can not thank you, your staff (Christine initially) and the
bar staff enough for helping us with our reunion.  From the first phone
call through reconciling the bill at the bar, every single person was
ready, willing and able to help with anything and everything.

Karen and her staff the day and night of the party were so helpful that
Rachel and I barely felt like we were organizing a party, which gave us
all the time to enjoy the night.

Had a great time. We’ve been organizing the Annual NY Ball League Year End Celebration for about 3-4 years there now, and I see no reason that we’d change venue anytime soon. The reps I worked with to book the party (Christine, Kate) were both very very helpful, and the staff on-site were all courteous and inviting.

The party was great. Everyone had a blast and wanted to know where I found such a cool place. Heather, the manager at Gin Mill, was very helpful and attentive. 80’s Party in The Speakeasy

 

Hi all, 

The event went well. It was a good time. Can’t say I’ve ever had a bad time at The Gin Mill. Bartenders/staff were nice and accommodating. We plan to throw another party hopefully at the end of the summer. We’ll surely be throwing another 80s party next spring. It’s becoming a yearly event among our friends. 

Thanks for all your help with organizing the party.  Also thanks for the free happy hour at Down The Hatch. We’ll be using that very soon.
