The party was great. Everyone had a blast and wanted to know where I found such a cool place. Heather, the manager at Gin Mill, was very helpful and attentive. My girlfriends have already mentioned they want to host a party there the next time someone has a birthday. Thank you all for everything. This was the least stressful party I’ve ever had to plan/host. I would definitely recommend Eat, Drink, & Be Merry to any of my friends.

Hi all,
The event went well. It was a good time. Can’t say I’ve ever had a bad time at The Gin Mill. Bartenders/staff were nice and accommodating. We plan to throw another party hopefully at the end of the summer. We’ll surely be throwing another 80s party next spring. It’s becoming a yearly event among our friends.
Thanks for all your help with organizing the party. Also thanks for the free happy hour at Down The Hatch. We’ll be using that very soon.

Going Away Party in The Speakeasy

All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We had a farewell party for two colleagues that were leaving Columbia University. The location of the Speakeasy (Gin Mill) was great as it is only a few blocks from the subway. The staff was friendly and attentive. Although the food was only bar food, everyone raved at how great the sliders, wings and shrimp shumai tasted. The day of the event, we had one guest tell us that they are kosher and that she would not be able to have anything on the buffet. I called, was advised to speak to the manager when we arrived, the manager gave her the bar menu and she selected from those options. Having the private room with private bathrooms was really a bonus so that our guests didn’t have to wade through the bar crowd and we were able to turn down the music for speeches.
Thanks again. We will definitely plan on having future events with you.

Thank you so, so much for making my 30th birthday - and an impromptu engagement party! - such a fantastic event! The staff at The Gin Mill was accommodating, very nice and a lot of fun. They helped us with everything, whether it was ensuring our DJ had the right equipment to having our guests get through the shoulder-to-shoulder crowd to our downstairs room. Also, once the bartender found out that me and my boyfriend got engaged hours earlier, he hooked us up with free shots for ourselves and our best friends. Eat, Drink, and Be Merry made this a low-stress event every step of the way. Thanks again!

Eat Drink and be Merry….everything went great….as promised…..Heather and her team at The Gin Mill were awesome.
The food was great. Drinks were easy to get.
They made everything so smooth—collecting all money for me and giving me a super honest count, etc…..I handled money once for about 60 seconds so I was able to kick back and enjoy the party instead of worrying about collecting, etc.
I really appreciated the call from Heather the night before the party to introduce herself and check in on any last minute details, etc. She set a nice tone. Again, her staff {Abby the bartender and Mark(I think) the doorman were great}.
Thank you guys for all your help…the entertainers were fun and gave the crowd a good show—thanks for the referral.

The party was great, at first I realized we would have over 90 people and that 1 bartender would not be enough. But the Gin Mill was very accommodating giving me 2 extra bartenders. The room was great for what I was looking for and the DVD photo slideshow on the plasmas was great. Thank you for making everything so easy and answering all my questions so quickly.

Just wanted to send a quick note of thanks to your whole crew — and especially Heather who did an awesome job of making sure that my anxiety level stayed down throughout the entire evening of my husband’s 50th Birthday party Saturday night at the Gin Mill. By all accounts the party was a resounding success and your group’s professionalism and follow-through was a significant factor to that end.
Simply put, working with you all was wonderful from our first contact until the last guest was shooed out of the Speakeasy Room and I wouldn’t hesitate to use you again - or make that recommendation to friends and family - in the future.

Hello, thank you for the email, our party was fantastic, most of our guest including my wife and me were paying for it the day after, lol, but everyone agreed they would definitely do it all over again!
The Bartenders and everything was absolutely great!
I would definitely considering doing it again, perhaps in a different room
