Surprise 50th Birthday Party in The Havana Room

Hi

I had a very good time, the planning was well done-all of my guests feedback was very positive-the guests loved the finger food and the staff was superb-several of my guests indicated to me that when they havethe need they would use your facility for a party.

the only complaint was from one of the guests who while waiting for her ride, was told she could not remain in the outer vestibule-other than that I received only great reviews.

Birthday Party in The Living Room

The party was very successful.  Christine and Brooke our waitress were awesome and pleasures to work with.  Christine made the process extremely easy for me and I recently spoke to one of the party guests and the first thing out of his mouth was how great our waitress, Brooke, was.  My biggest fear when I was planning the party was not having a bar in the living room but with Brooke as our waitress I never had to worry about anyone waiting on a drink, very impressive.  Through out this whole process, setting up the party with Christine, and going to Jakes for the surprise, it was a great experience and in the future I will definitely think of you when I’m planning my next event.  Feel free to call me if you have any questions.

Fundraiser for Haiti at The Gin Mill

Hi All,

I’m sorry that I didn’t respond earlier, I just found this email in my spam folder.  Our event went very well.  Everyone throughout the planning process and the night itself was very nice and helpful.  We raised over $1500 that we donated to Partners in Health.  Thank you so much for being so great to work with and helping us raise so much money for a very important cause.

Everyone had a great time at the party!  My sister was very happy!!!  Thank you!  Also, I want to tell you Julie, the manger on site that night was awesome!  She was always smiling and very accommodating!   I was also very very impressed with the bartender (did not get her name).  They were both pleasant and professional, which really helped set the mood of the party.

The Party was great! Eric was a HUGE help — provided great customer service. He always made sure my guests and I were 100% accomodated — he even went out and got a cake/candles because he insisted the birthday boy needed to blow out his 30 candles!

I wanted to write to say thank you for all your help planning my husband’s surprise 30th birthday bash at the Speakeasy on Saturday, January 9th. I meant to email you on Monday… sorry for the delay!  The event was truly a success and a great time was had by all.  We raised over $1200 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  I hope to do an event with you in the future.

New Year’s Eve in The Speakeasy Room

Hello!

Our NYE party at the Speakeasy room was a huge success. All the guests came up to me throughout the night constantly thanking me for putting such a great event together and proclaiming it was the best NYE of their lives. This is a pretty big feat!

I was pleasantly surprised with the smooth process to book the event. Kate was fantastic to work with and answered all my questions in the weeks leading up to the event. I truly felt like I was in good hands.

Night of, the bartenders Eric and Audrey were awesome. All my guests loved them and tons of people took pictures with them!

Logistically, the room was laid out perfectly. The two tables in the corners were utilized as were the chairs at the bar. The space fit 100 comfortably, though I do believe 125 would have been excessive. Eric was great with adjusting the temperature and turning off the fireplace as the room filled with guests.

The drinks were great, I heart code blue and had NO HANGOVER on New Year’s Day!

The food unfortunately was a miss. We didn’t see the items that we reviewed prior to the event (no chicken fingers) and the items first put out were not what we thought (meatballs, meat on a stick?). Eventually I saw mozzarella sticks (I was waiting for those). I was sad to see all the food was taken away before 11:30pm, I was under the impression the food would constantly be replenished throughout the night. Luckily, people don’t come for the food and I don’t think this distracted from the positive party experience at all though it was disappointing.

The DJ was OK, his taste was not to our liking so we put on our ipod for a bit. In hindsight, I would have created more mixes on my ipod and have been better prepared. I did not plan to use it. Luckily, the process to plug in the ipod and switch back and forth to the DJ was seamless!

I will 100% book another event with privatepartyroom. I loved working with the team, I think your event spaces are great, and overall everyone seriously had a blast. I actually recommended you all on my blog : http://www.behappynyc.com/2010/01/nye-success.html

Holiday Party at Down The Hatch
