Hello Eat, Drink & Be Merry…

We had an absolutely wonderful time with no problems at all.   Our entire group had no complaints and we all had so much fun we are already thinking about the next time we can do this.  The food, drinks, service, limo, everything from top to bottom was GREAT!   Every bar treated us nicely, served us drinks quickly, and made our night truly special even as the bars continued to get crowded throughout the night.  Our Navigator limo was perfect and the driver was extremely nice putting up with our miserable attempts to sing along to the radio.  Thanks for an absolutely wonderful time and we will definitely be planning another Pub Crawl with you in the near future. THANKS!

We had a great time on the bachelor party.  Having the party bus and 5 bars to go to was great for a large group.  It kept us all together with no worries of getting home.  The bars were all a great time and the driver couldn’t have been better.

Dear Christine, Kate, Ali and Niki,

Thank you all so much for your involvement in the planning of our party.  Everyone had an awesome time, especially the bachelor.   A lot of the stress of planning an event that large was eliminated with your help.  The package idea is almost perfect in my opinion.  The dinner time and menu was good.  Having the open bar start with dinner was good.  The limo arriving after dinner with the entertainment was well planned or I should say we thought that it was the best time for it.  Stocking the limo ourselves was fine, but I think someone mentioned that they were disappointed with either the amount of mixers or type of mixers in the limo.  Having the limo for six hours and after the open bar ended worked well.   We drove around and could have gone anywhere else.   It also worked well to drop people off at different locations/hotels at the end of the night.  The only thing I would have liked to have seen differently would be including a 20% gratuity for the waitress at dinner and the limo driver in the overall rate.  I think this would give people one less thing to remember/worry about.  Other than that, I can’t think of anything else.   The bachelor party was an overall success.  Thanks again and I hope that I will have the opportunity to plan or experience another event through Eat, Drink & Be Merry.

After Softball Party in The Speakeasy

 I just realized I hadn’t responded to this email. We had a very, VERY, positive experience with the event that you put on for us at Gin Mill.  Everything ran smoothly, which began and ended with your staff.  The on site supervisor was extremely kind, willing to help and adapt to any request that we had. The Gin Mill staff, particularly the bartender, was very nice as well, interested in our well being and he seemed to really want us to have a good time.  I received numerous emails from co-workers saying how much fun they had.  I even got an email from a VP of another division at Fox, wishing to have her group involved in the next event.  I think the only minor discrepancy we had with the night was that some people wanted to pay just for the all you can drink, rather than the all you can drink and eat.  I know that this is almost impossible to police, but if there were some way to do so, I think it would be a big hit.  I think the greatest aspect of the night was being able to play our own music (which inevitably led to several sing along’s). I think this is even something that you may be inclined to market towards potential group outings.  I think it’s a very underrated bonus, I can’t think of many other venues where you are allowed to do this.  It’s surprising how much music can sometimes make or break a night.

 With all this being said, I’m in discussions with co-workers to have another event at the Gin Mill, this time with probably a larger group, hopefully needling towards 50 people.  Do you have availability in late June/July?  Please let me know when you get a chance.  Thanks!

Bachelor Party in The Living Room

Everything went perfectly!   The room was all ready for us when we arrived.  Andy was our party manager and he was great, collected the money and worried about all that so I could enjoy the party, was always around to answer any questions, made sure the food was ready, etc. Our waitress, and I’m sorry I can’t remember her name, was great too, she was constantly back and forth, great mood, very helpful and quick with the orders and hopefully satisfied with the big tip we left at the end of the night haha.   Our bouncer, Rocky, was also very helpful, pleasant to deal with, kept everyone out, exactly what I’d want.  The experience with the people from Centerfolds was also great.  They showed up when they said they would, put on a great show and everyone enjoyed.  So yes, wonderful experience. Please don’t use my last name if you use any of this for testimonials, but otherwise anything I’ve said attributed to “Pete” is fine.

End Of The School Year Party at The Gin Mill

Sorry about my delayed response – it was a busy Memorial Day!  As concerns the party, I have to say the party was a smash hit all around.  Everyone had a wonderful time, the wrist bands worked perfectly, and the bouncer was very good at keeping track of who was there, who didn’t show, etc, and checked with me when he thought he’d missed someone.  The bartenders were great, and very friendly, which can be quite a feat with an open bar (we did our best to tip, but still – bartenders can be aloof if they feel like they’re not going to make a buck, but these guys were great).  Not a single complaint – everyone had a wonderful time!

Wicked Pub Crawl starting at The Gin Mill

Hi ED&BM!

 

From start to finish our party was a fabulous success!  Thank you very much for the ease and simplicity afforded to us as we planned a fantastic event!  Christine and Kate were quick to respond to any questions i had, or to provide more information and a contract.  They followed up after every step, and really made me feel reassured and taken care of throughout the process.  They have friendly and enthusiastic customer service skills that should be commended!

 

Every guest was impressed by the unbeatable all-inclusive price and all access pass, along with everything that it covered! We felt like royalty as managers took a genuine interest in our enthusiasm and happiness that night!  From the personalized sign in the front window of The Gin Mill to the personal phone calls made the day before, The Gin Mill’s manager was a pleasure to work with! We were astonished by the dependable, good-natured and quick customer service all evening as well! The food was terrific and the drinks were a plenty! No one had an empty glass or a dry lip! 

 

Our limo driver was friendly and responsible. He was always waiting right outside when we were ready to move on… or finally go home.  He was so patient and helpful with our technologically-challenged bridesmaids who insisted on controlling the music that night as well!  The limo was spacious and clean, and a really entertaining memorable part of the party!

 

All of the bars were well-maintained with a welcoming and fun atmosphere.  The lively crowd was never overwhelming or intimidating as we easily mingled with everyone at each establishment!  Traveling in the city can be a tricky venture, but with the courteous staff at each venue we were able to navigate easily and feel comfortable everywhere we went.  Every bar on the pub crawl route was a great  venue for a group gathering, as we coud easily congregate together or spread out and not feel like we would get lost from the group.

 

Additionally, i am so thankful for the attentiveness given to my food allergies when planning our dinner.  I was amazed by the flexiblity of everyone involved and how accommodating The Gin Mill was in regards to my dining options.  As a reult of my food allergies, i am often left out of many dining experiences… but the manager, Heather, at The Gin Mill wouldn’t let me miss one thing! She was absolutely fabulous!

 

The following day, many of the guests wrote or called to tell me of their fantastic evening! The guest-of-honor, who is really hard to please. said she had an amazing night!!!  We have many wonderful memories as a result of planning our event through you!  This was the second pub crawl event I have planned with ED & BM and each event was truly a success!  I have never been disappointed with your services.

Everything went great!  Everyone, especially the groom, had a great time that we’re still talking about days later.  We had a very good turnout and everything went without a hitch.  The food, bus, entertainers, and the bars were all top notch.  A majority of the guests were the groom’s fraternity brothers, so they loved that all of the bars had beer pong!  Honestly I have no complaints, it really was that good.  Thanks again for all of your help, and for providing such a great service.  I am sure our word of mouth will generate more business for you.

We had well over 30 people come and go throughout the night and they all told us what a great time they had.  The open bar was a great great deal for the 3 hours, and it was awesome that the DJ played lots of 80s hits that went with our theme

21st Birthday Party at Down the Hatch

Hello, The party was EXCELLENT!  

It was for my brother’s 21st bday, and we couldn’t have asked for better service.  As someone who has been to Down The Hatch a LOT, and have become very friendly with much of the staff (Owen, Tom etc), I have to say that Matt and Noel were some of the best.  They were VERY attentive, and they definetely made everyone in our group feel like VIP. They treated everyone in our group equally, whether they had a wristband or not.  I could not have asked for better service, and will be asking for them personally the next time we do a private party.  Thanks for following up, and please be sure to let the higher ups know what a great job those two did.

40th Birthday Party in The Havana Room

What a night!!!!

I want to thank you for making my wife’s party a huge success!!  From the first phone call, to the last guest leaving, you guys did EVERYTHING right! Niki, my party coordinater, took care of details that I never would have thought of.  She was professional and a pleasure to deal with.  She addressed my concerns about outside kosher catering, and kept tabs with me throughout the night with the bar tab.  I felt like a guest, and not just the host, and this let me focus on enjoying the party. The bartender and  passers were so nice too!

The DJ that you recommended (Marlon), went the extra mile to quiz me on the crowd to make sure the music was perfect (and it was!!). I had brought in a DVD slideshow to play on the TV’s around the room,  but for some reason, the slideshow would not automatically ‘repeat’, so between the bartender, and Niki, they kept hitting the ‘play’ button (like every 5 minutes) to keep the DVD going!  Now THAT’S going the extra mile!!! 

The room itself was perfect in size ( I had about 100 people) with room to dance and mingle comfortably.  Everyone commented on how nice the room was and noticed how attentive the staff was.  I would HIGHLY recommend Eat, Drink & Be Merry and look forward for the chance to host another party at another one of your venues.  Thanks again!!!!!!!!
